The Partners of Wokingham Medical Centre are pleased to announce that we have received notification from NHS England that we will receive our Covid-19 vaccine supply later this week. We will be vaccinating patients over the course of the weekend of the 9th and 10th of January 2021 at the Bradbury Centre in Wokingham.
During the course of this week, practice staff will contact you in order to book you an appointment. You will be asked some questions to ensure your suitability for the vaccine – please cooperate with our surgery staff fully in order to ensure patient safety. You will then be sent more detailed instructions and information electronically to ensure that you understand the vaccination implications and process.
Please do not contact the surgery to request a vaccine appointment– the criteria for vaccinations are laid out by NHS England very strictly and are not able to be changed by practices.
To say 2020 has been a difficult year is a significant understatement, but we are excited and proud to be supporting the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine. The logistical challenge of vaccinating all of our patients, while socially distancing and keeping all concerned safe, is not to be underestimated, so please be patient with us as we work this through.
